Hi friend, I'm TJ's wife, Kathy.
I wanted to update you on some things I see happening behind the scenes on an issue I care deeply about: health care.
Since TJ took office, I've gotten an inside look at how Congress works. We both knew that change would be hard, but it's uplifting to see that he's actually getting things accomplished. Whether it's fighting Trump's cuts to Medicare and Medicaid, securing funds for our rural health clinics, or bringing down the cost of prescription drugs, TJ works every day to improve the health of the hard-working families in our district and across the country.
There's so much more to be done, and I'm looking forward to what can be accomplished in his second term. Can you join me in supporting TJ with a $3 contribution before this week's end-of-quarter deadline? DONATE >> [link removed]
As a pediatric ICU physician, I see firsthand the consequences and injustice of our current health care system. One would think this problem is obvious to everyone. It's not.
We have to fundamentally change the way we address health. We all deserve the opportunity to lead healthy, productive lives. That means policies that ensure those opportunities -- like TJ's Disadvantaged Community Drinking Water Assistance Act (H.R. 5347) that will be voted on this week. We need elected officials like TJ to lead the way on our public health priorities. And we need your help keeping him in office to do just that:
TJ's staff tells me they set a goal of raising $20,000 before this FEC fundraising quarter. It's critical we don't come up short. There's too much at stake. Thanks friend for all you do. Can you chip in $3 today?
Thank you,
Kathy Murphy, MD
