Actions for the week of August 18, 2025

Greetings, Activists!

Summer is winding down but the climate movement is only strengthening! Here is a round up of planet protecting actions to take to make polluters pay.

Action 1

🌊🛢️🙅 Stop this ultra-deepwater drilling project in the Gulf of Mexico

Fifteen years after BP’s Deepwater Horizon — the worst oil spill in U.S. history — the same company is asking the federal government to approve a new, massive offshore drilling project in the Gulf.

The regional Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) office in the Gulf is weighing whether to approve the proposal, so sign on to show strong public opposition to another drilling project that risks harm to Gulf communities!

Action 2

🚞🚧🛑 Halt LNG by Rail in Its Tracks

Just last month, the first Trump administration’s Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) by Rail rule was repealed by the courts after being suspended by the Biden administration. Trump had reversed a longstanding ban on moving LNG in tank cars on our nation’s railway system, but both the Biden Administration and the courts deemed it too dangerous to allow.

That hasn’t stopped the Trump administration from trying again. Demand the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) block Trump’s attempt to reverse the ban on LNG by rail!

Action 3

☠️🌍⚖️ Tell Administrator Zeldin: Cutting Climate Pollution Is Essential for Our Families’ Health

Lee Zeldin and the EPA are trying to repeal the main piece of legislation that makes climate policy possible: the Endangerment Finding, that states that greenhouse gases are bad for the planet. Join Moms for Clean Air in telling Administrator Zeldin this is NOT OK. EPA must keep cutting climate pollution from power plants, vehicles, and industry.
