UPDATE — I joined several members of the Lake County Republican Party last night to attend the third meeting in nine months, and the Florida Highway Patrol told us that we would be ARRESTED and thrown in JAIL if we walked into the building.

When asked by whose authority they would be making an arrest or trespass, they told me that Chairman Taylor Yarkosky said we were all pre-trespassed from the building and should be arrested if we walked in.

Even long-standing members were told they would go to jail if they attended the meeting.

One precinct member, Autumn Darlene Jacunski, had her hand SLAMMED in a door by the Vice Chairman of the Lake County Republican Party. Her hand was nearly broken, and she ended up in the hospital for 3 hours.

Yarkosky ordered his Vice Chairman to “physically block” the woman from entering, although she’s a current member of the party.

We are filing a civil lawsuit today. It’s time for Yarkosky to resign IMMEDIATELY.

I called the state GOP Chairman, Evan Powers, and he agreed that this was completely unlawful — lawsuits WILL be filed.
