Hi John,

Within hours of taking office, Trump declared a made-up energy emergency that his administration is still using as cover to attack wildlife.

So the Center for Biological Diversity just went to court — again — to expose how the administration's schemes to destroy public lands put wildlife at risk.

Please help us fight back with a gift now to the Future for the Wild Fund.

Trump's executive order declaring an "energy emergency" is a cynical, sweeping attack on the wild.

No such emergency exists, but facts never got in the way of Trump trying to hand over public lands, waters and wildlife to corporate profiteers.

Under his own order, Trump by now should have received updates on how his administration is boosting production of oil, gas and coal. Those reports — by law — should be made public.

But to no one's surprise, the administration is keeping its secrets behind closed doors. Nothing has been disclosed, so we went to court to shine light on how this administration is selling out wildlife — including critically imperiled species, like manatees and monarchs.

It's clear the administration is operating a shadowy operation to discard vital protections for threatened species and habitat.

That's why the Center has filed more than a dozen lawsuits seeking public records of the administration's cruel, anti-environment agenda.

We're also in court fighting off other attacks on the wild, such as redefining what it means to "harm" an imperiled species.

And now Congress is maneuvering to strip away protections from species like wolverines who are listed as threatened. It's one more blow aimed at obliterating safeguards for wildlife, water and lands.

But we're fighting back — going to court with all we've got to hold the line for imperiled animals and the places they call home.

We won't slow down, but we do need you with us.

Please stand with us by giving today to the Future for the Wild Fund.
