Join Chattanooga DSA this Wednesday at our monthly general meeting!

In the wake of last week's historic floods, DSA is focused on rapid response and mutual aid relief for our neighbors. We're also looking at a bigger picture vision for the coming months and years, with a special section for strategy discussion towards the end of the meeting.

Anyone interested in getting involved with our work can attend, regardless of membership status. We want to hear from all our folks!

Agenda items include:
* Flood relief mutual aid: updates and volunteer needs
* Report back from DSA National Convention
* Priorities & Strategy discussion


While I have your attention, let me share a LABOR SOLIDARITY OPPORTUNITY!

Next Tuesday (August 26) at 5 PM, the Chattanooga Area Labor Council's Solidarity Committee will hold a press conference in front of city council (1701 Lindsay St) to promote a proposed resolution.

If passed, the resolution will formally express Chattanooga's solidarity with Volkswagen workers in their ongoing fight for a first union contract. Join DSA and other community members as we show our support for workers!
