TRUMP TO LEAD THE CHARGE IN ELIMINATING MAIL-IN VOTING NATIONWIDE
John, it's the Maine Dems with some horrible news.
After criticizing mail-in ballots at every opportunity for the past decade, President Donald Trump has formally announced that he would sign an executive order to end mail-in voting ahead of the 2026 midterms.
The Maine Dems are working hard right now to prevent Question 1 from passing in our state to protect mail-in voting here in Maine, but if Donald Trump gets his way, our Democracy could crumble.
We KNOW there's no proof of widespread voter fraud through mail-in ballots, but Trump doesn't care about the truth. All he cares about is securing his power, and right now, he sees an avenue for completely rigging the election in his favor.
He even went so far as to cite Putin's view that "you can't have an honest election with mail-in voting." If Trump is referencing a dictator's opinion to support his own, you know we're on a dark path.
We need to act now to send a resounding message that Trump cannot take absentee voting from Mainers or anyone else. Will you chip in any amount now so we can keep up our efforts on the ground?
