John,
Last month, I was proud to introduce H.R. 3565 — the Block the Bombs Act — a bold step to end the U.S. government’s complicity in the ongoing atrocities in Gaza.
This legislation would block the Trump administration from sending the most lethal offensive bombs and weaponry to the Israeli government while it continues to violate U.S. and international law and devastate Palestinian communities.
As the Israeli government has continued to block lifesaving aid from reaching starving families in Gaza over the last few months, there has been a major shift in sentiment here in the U.S.:
- Polls show support for the Israeli military’s actions collapsing, especially among Democratic voters,1
- More than half of Senate Democrats just voted to block U.S. weapons sales to Israel, the first time that has ever happened,2
- And more than 31 members of Congress have signed on as co-sponsors to the Block the Bombs Act in the House.3
All of this happening because of the pressure that everyday people are keeping on their elected representatives.
Can you add your name today to urge your representative to support the Block the Bombs Act, and keep up the pressure to put an end to the mass starvation and ceaseless bombing in Gaza?

Since October 2023, the U.S. has sent $20 billion in military aid to support Israel, including over 2,000 bombs — the same bombs used to level entire neighborhoods and kill thousands of innocent civilians.
Tens of thousands of children are at risk of death due to Israel’s blockade.4 Hundreds of people seeking food and aid have been shot dead by IDF troops.5
This moment demands courage. Congress has the power and responsibility to act. And the international community cannot, and must not, turn a blind eye to genocide.
The Block the Bombs Act is about more than just stopping American weapons from being used in Gaza — it’s about our values. It’s about whether we will continue funding human rights violations, or finally draw a line and say: we refuse to be complicit in war crimes.
Please look up if your member of Congress is a co-sponsor of my bill here.
Then sign my petition, and urge your representatives to support H.R. 3565, and help bring about an end to the mass slaughter in Gaza.
In solidarity,
Rep. Delia Ramirez
Illinois’ 3rd Congressional District
