Day 211
It’s Day 211 of President Trump’s second term. No one has lost their Social Security, Medicare, or veterans’ benefits in spite of constant media and leftist lies.
The Peace Summits
Friday’s summit between Presidents Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin was historic. While it did not produce a peace deal, it set the stage for today’s summit at the White House between Presidents Trump and Zelensky, along with several European leaders.
Today’s summit involved a series of meetings throughout the day. First, Trump met with Zelensky in the Oval Office. There were no fireworks at today’s public meeting.
Next, Trump met with European leaders. Finally, Trump, Zelensky, and the leaders of the European Union, NATO, France, Germany, Great Britain, Finland, and Italy all met together. President Trump announced he would be speaking with Vladimir Putin later today.
Meanwhile, the political Left is seething that President Trump may actually achieve a peace deal in the war between Ukraine and Russia. All the major networks, including a Fox News reporter, tried to spin Friday’s Alaska summit as a disaster.
The same Deep State operatives who tried to cheat Trump out of his first election and interfered in his second election are now trying to undermine him in his second term by pushing war, war, war.
What is it exactly that they want? Do they think it’s possible Ukraine can defeat Russia? If it can, then Russia’s not a major threat.
Why would anyone be upset at Trump for wanting to end the carnage that is killing and wounding thousands of people every month on both sides of the conflict? It’s astonishing, and it tells you there is something else at work here than just what we’re reading in the headlines.
Here’s an example of how we’re being spun by the so-called “news.” Over the weekend, the media repeatedly told us that European leaders were rushing to Washington to bolster Zelensky and stop America from surrendering to Russia.
That is not what is happening. As Secretary of State Marco Rubio explained on CBS’s “Face the Nation” yesterday:
“This is such a stupid media narrative that [European leaders] are coming here tomorrow because Trump is going to bully Zelensky into a bad deal. We’ve been working with these people for weeks, for weeks on this stuff.
“They’re coming here tomorrow because they chose to come here tomorrow. We invited them to come. We invited them to come. The president invited them to come.”
Melania’s Plea
During their meeting Friday, Trump handed Putin a letter written by First Lady Melania Trump, pleading with the Russian leader to make peace for the sake of Ukrainian and Russian children. She wrote:
“Every child shares the same quiet dreams in their heart, whether born randomly into a nation’s rustic countryside or a magnificent city-center. They dream of love, possibility, and safety from danger. . .
“A simple yet profound concept, Mr. Putin, as I am sure you agree, is that each generation’s descendants begin their lives with a purity—an innocence which stands above geography, government, and ideology. . .
“In protecting the innocence of these children, you will do more than serve Russia alone—you serve humanity itself. Such a bold idea transcends all human division, and you, Mr. Putin, are fit to implement this vision with a stroke of the pen today. It is time.”
If “Dr. Jill” had written a letter to Putin about saving children, she would have been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize. But this letter presented the media with a problem. Yes, Putin is killing children, but the media can’t praise Melania for raising the issue.
The Left wants Trump to fail in making peace. How can that be explained?
Left-wing Lunacy
Democrat states routinely give driver’s licenses to illegal aliens, which creates a lot of problems. In many places, the only thing you need to vote is a driver’s license. But an illegal alien got a driver’s license in California and used it to get a commercial driver’s license to drive semi-trucks.
This illegal alien from India attempted to do an illegal U-turn on the Florida Turnpike last week. His abrupt maneuver across three lanes of traffic left no time for cars to stop. Three people were killed when a minivan struck the semi.
Democrats are probably lining up now to make sure this illegal alien is getting his “constitutional rights,” three meals a day, and comfy cell. Never mind the constitutional rights of the three dead Americans.
Meanwhile, leftists in Washington, D.C., filmed an incident with their cell phones involving the arrest of a “moped driver.” The leftist media spread the narrative that the “moped driver” was just doing his job of delivering food. Not exactly.
Law enforcement officials who detained Cristian Enrique Carias Torres knew exactly who he was—an illegal alien from Venezuela. Torres had skipped multiple court hearings, was under a deportation order, and had active warrants out for his arrest.
Torres resisted the police during his arrest, causing one officer to suffer a concussion. But the entire left-wing infrastructure attacked the cops and immediately rushed to the defense of the criminal illegal alien.
When it comes to illegal aliens or citizens, the Left sides with illegal aliens. When it comes to criminals or victims, the Left sides with criminals. When it comes to war or peace, the Left is all in for more war. The list goes on and on.
The Left Hates Faith
The Little Sisters of the Poor may have to go back to the Supreme Court for a third time. Why? Because the intolerant Left just can’t help themselves. They are committed to stamping out any religious resistance to their neo-Marxist agenda. And they are not going to give up.
Radical leftists who control New Jersey and Pennsylvania are still trying to force the Little Sisters to pay for abortion-inducing drugs. Predictably, they found a left-wing federal judge eager to impose her values on Catholic nuns.
The judge ruled that the Trump administration’s religious exemptions to Obamacare’s contraception mandate violated the Administrative Procedure Act.
If these militant secularists get control of Congress and the White House again, the clenched fist of government power will come down on the heads of everyone who believes our rights come from our Creator, not government.
The Little Sisters are a stand-in for your church, your faith, and your rights.
In a related matter, the Federal Trade Commission just dismissed a Biden-era lawsuit against Grand Canyon University.
When Joe Biden occupied the Oval Office, every power of the federal government was brought to bear against Grand Canyon University. Why? Because it is a growing religious university. So, it had to be crushed, just like the Biden administration attempted to crush Liberty University.
Jews were being attacked routinely at Columbia University and other elite schools, but the Biden administration said students weren’t safe at Liberty. Of course, the media didn’t care when Biden attacked Christian schools. But they scream about “authoritarianism” every time Donald Trump tries to do something about antisemitism.
Trans Terrorism
The Washington Post ran a surprising article yesterday. It was surprising for its factual reporting on a growing phenomenon that virtually every “mainstream” media outlet desperately tries to avoid—transgender domestic terrorism.
The article focused on the July 4th ambush of a Texas immigration detention center and how the attackers were all part of a “secretive network of Dallas anti-fascists” and “part of a growing movement of far-left political resistance.” At least two of the 11 people charged with attacking the Texas immigration facility are transgender.
There is an undercurrent of violence in the transgender movement. It reeks with violent rhetoric against conservatives and Christians. It has inspired multiple attempts to kill Christians, attacks on Christian schools, and apparently this attack on an immigration facility.
Finally, there seems to be just a little bit of media interest.
The Mamdani Protest
Socialist Zohran Mamdani maintains such a commanding lead in the race for the next mayor of New York City that some business leaders are reportedly trying to make a separate peace with him.
We have noted what Mamdani’s election could mean for America’s most iconic city—defined partly by Wall Street, the center of American capitalism.
What has not been mentioned enough, however, is that Mamdani is the symbol of a rising protest, not against Donald Trump and conservatives but against today’s Democrat Party.
New York City is controlled lock, stock, and barrel by the Democrat Party, as is the state of New York. Mamdani is in open rebellion against the Democrat establishment because he wants the party to be even further left-wing. That’s what he is running on—the fact that he’s not just another establishment Democrat, who has failed to deliver what the Left wants.
I know conservatives are inclined to celebrate polls finding record low approval ratings for the Democrat Party. But there is a big caveat to those numbers: Much of that discontent is coming from Democrats who don’t believe their party is neo-Marxist enough. And those “Mamdani voters” are not going to vote for Republican congressional candidates in 2026.
