All this year, we've been talking about the unholy alliance between big tech, billionaires, and fossil fuels – the Oiligarchs, as we call them – who team up to promote fossil fueled fascism. But while things are very much not ok at the federal level, some local leaders and a lot of local activists are taking action to protect our rights and freedoms and resist the authoritarian power grab.

This Wednesday, August 20, we're teaming up with a broad coalition of groups to talk about state and local efforts to defend the rule of law from fossil fueled fascism — and share how you can take action in your own community.

What: A virtual movement call to uplift state and local officials using legal, legislative, and policy tools to defend the rule of law and sharing approaches that we can all help replicate

Our Wednesday night call wil feature speakers including FL rep. Anna Eskamani, MD Comptroller Brooke Lierman, NY rep. Micah Lasher, MN Attorney General Keith Ellison, and Los Angelos Labor Activist Héctor (Teto) Huezo. Together we will:

• Highlight actions you can take to defend the rule of law and protect people at the state and local level.
• Feature courageous state and local leaders sharing replicable ways to stand up for communities.
• Share inspiration and resources to get involved and join the fight! Just for starters you can: Join us Aug 21-27 to take on Billionaires, Labor Day weekend to say Workers over Billionaires, and in September at United nations and around the world to Make Billionaires pay.

Our call this Wednesday is for anyone who wants to help protect their state or local communities from these attacks by fossil fueled fascists. Get the tools and ideas you need to defend the rule of law — and join us in the streets over the next month!
