According to the L.A. Police Department’s case update released on Wednesday, 42-year-old Jean Junior Dar, also known as Jean-Que or “Que,” allegedly drugged and sexually assaulted at least three men, all within the Venice and Santa Monica areas, earlier this year. One victim, a 24-year-old man, told police that Dar drugged and assaulted him in January of 2025. As detectives began investigating the report, they discovered two other men — also in their mid-20s — had similar experiences with Dar. “In each case, the victims stated they met the suspect at a bar, where he engaged them in conversation before inviting them to an after party,” detailed the LAPD. “The suspect then drove the victims to his residence near Marina Del Rey, where they were given a drink. After consuming the drink, the victims reported becoming incapacitated and that the suspect committed sexual acts without their consent.” KTLA 5 Armed suspect leads LAPD on pursuit through Highland Park The Los Angeles Police Department was in pursuit of an armed suspect near Highland Park. CBS 2 Swastikas spray-painted outside Tarzana elementary school under investigation Police are investigating the spray-painting of swastikas outside an elementary in Tarzana on Sunday, authorities said. Spray-painted swastikas were discovered on a fence and outdoor artwork at Wilbur Charter for Enriched Academics, an elementary school located on the 5200 block of Crebs Avenue in Tarzana. Just last week, officers responded to a report that swastikas and anti-Jewish language were found at the entrance of Winnetka Avenue and the 101 Freeway, said Sgt. Bruce Borihanh of the Los Angeles Police Department. Also, last weekend, the Israeli-American Council (IAC) national headquarters in Los Angeles, located in the Woodland Hills area, was hit by antisemitic vandalism. Here, vandals painted swastikas and “SS” lightning bolt symbols, which were located nearby, near a bridge on Burbank Boulevard, as well as on surrounding walls and sidewalks, said the LAPD last week. The building located on Winnetka Avenue, called the Shepherd Community Center, serves as the offices of the IAC’s LA region and as a community center for the local Israeli-American and American Jewish communities. “We are appalled by this vile act of antisemitism at the doorstep of our own community and offices,” said Israeli-American Council (IAC) CEO Elan S. Carr, the former US Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Antisemitism. NBC 4 Man killed after trying to stop thieves from stealing his car in South L.A., authorities say A 41-year-old man was fatally shot while trying to protect his car during an attempted theft in South Los Angeles, the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department said. Deputies responded to reports of a gunshot victim Saturday about 9:20 p.m. in the 8000 block of South Hooper Avenue in unincorporated L.A. County. They found two wounded men in a nearby alley. One had been struck by gunfire in the upper torso and was pronounced dead at the scene by the L.A. County Fire Department.
