This morning, President Trump sent out a deranged post on Truth Social, calling for the abolition of mail-in voting.
The reason? His attempts to sway the 2026 midterms through mid-cycle redistricting are not going smoothly—thanks in large part to Democrats like Governor Newsom and Governor Pritzker’s aggressive responses.
Now that his plans are faltering, he’s shifting his attention to mail-in voting. The thing is, each state’s Secretary of State runs elections, and their state legislatures decide whether people can vote by mail.
Luckily, here in Arizona, Democrats hold every statewide office: Governor, Attorney General, and Secretary of State.
Unfortunately, we also have a MAGA crony and Kari Lake protégé, Justin Heap, in the Maricopa County Recorder’s Office—the office responsible for all mail-in voting in the county where 64% of registered voters live.
There will inevitably be a confrontation between Recorder Heap and our statewide Democrats—a fight Heap could ultimately win if our statewide Democrats lose re-election in 2026.
But if all of our Democrats win re-election, we can ensure Heap loses this fight and that mail-in voting remains a cornerstone of democracy in Arizona.
Friend, would you be willing to donate today to help us ensure our statewide Democrats win re-election in 2026, so we can protect mail-in voting as an Arizona staple?
Over 75% of Arizona voters cast their ballots by mail. If it’s abolished, millions of voters could be disenfranchised.
