Dear John,
What does it mean to stand up for who you are when the spotlight is on you — and when the pressure is at its highest?
Join three-time MLB All-Star and World Series champion Kevin Youkilis this Wednesday, August 20 for a special online event: a candid conversation about navigating Jewish identity in professional sports, confronting antisemitism and using your platform to advocate for change.
This event launches Game Changers, ADL’s all-new series of events that brings together athletes and advocates to explore how sports can inspire dialogue and challenge antisemitism.

Throughout his stellar career with the Boston Red Sox, Youkilis brought his authentic self to the field every day, proudly representing his heritage while competing at baseball’s highest level. Since retiring from the game, he has continued to use his voice as a coach, entrepreneur and mentor, inspiring the next generation of athletes to embrace their identities, speak out against hate and play the game the right way.
In an event presented in partnership with Maccabi USA, Kevin will be joined by University of Michigan student and Maccabi USA athlete Morgan Zeitz, who will offer her own perspective as a Jewish athlete and how participation in the Maccabiah strengthened her Jewish identity and helped prepare her to face experiences with antisemitism on and off campus.
The event will include a live Q&A with Kevin and Morgan. Come with your questions about baseball, identity and standing up against hate.
We hope you will join us for this lively and timely conversation,
— ADL
