Together, we’ve defended DACA and our rights from anti-immigrant officials. But as ICE escalates its attacks on our communities, DACA recipients are facing aggressive threats, from unlawful detentions to demands to self-deport.
This is a wake-up call: Congress must take immediate action to pass permanent protections NOW.

On August 15, 2012, the first DACA application was accepted. That milestone was born from years of organizing, hope, and determination by immigrant youth and our allies.
From that moment on, we have faced attack after attack from anti-immigrant politicians determined to rip our communities apart. But every single time, we have stood together, and we’re still here.
For 13 years, courageous immigrant youth, allies, and everyday neighbors have defended our right to live, work, and dream without fear. From the steps of the U.S. Supreme Court in 2020 to the 5th Circuit Court just last year, our resilience has kept DACA alive against all odds.
Now, those same forces are working to dismantle DACA piece by piece. They are cutting off access to education and health care, demanding self-deportation, rolling back tuition protections, and even investigating universities that support immigrant students. Without urgent Congressional action, DACA will be reduced to a shadow of what it once was.
DACA recipients contribute $648 billion to the economy and are vital members of our communities. They are doctors, teachers, neighbors, and parents. Over 250,000 U.S. citizen children have a parent protected by DACA. If DACA ends, countless people will lose their jobs, their families, and their futures.
We have defended our community for 13 years, and we can do it again, but only if we act now.
Congress must pass the American Dream and Promise Act to provide permanent protections and stop the mass detentions and deportations.
