Last year, I was honored to serve as Vice Presidential nominee to California’s own Kamala Harris.

And during that campaign, I spent several months traveling the country, and listening to folks from coast to coast as they discussed the most important issues to them and their communities, and how they wanted their representatives to address those issues.

I can tell you one thing: What they don’t want is a President who deploys the military to patrol their neighborhoods and threatens to jail an elected Governor when he objects. Yet that is exactly what Donald Trump did in California.

He’s afraid of California because he sees the momentum here. He knows that you all flipped three seats from red to blue in 2024. He knows that with the right energy and resources you all could elect a Democratic House that would hold him accountable and stop this madness. He wants to crush your spirit, but I’ve seen your passion and I’m guessing you’re still in this fight. If I’m right, will you rush a donation of $35 or more now?

I recently spoke at the California Democratic Party’s convention because I see the stakes.

On the convention stage, I said, “In 2026, we will take back the House Majority — and it goes right through California. Our fight is now. Everybody is going to need to be on the field.”

I meant every word. And now they echo even truer today with Donald Trump’s relentless attacks on California and your governor.

In response, the California Democratic Party is looking to scale up their organizing program sooner than expected to meet this moment and jumpstart their proven campaign strategy that won so many nail-biter races in 2024.

I am fully supportive of this idea. But it means they’ll need to raise some extra cash that isn’t in the budget right now.

While the GOP has Elon Musk to write big checks (he even sent $1,000,000 to one key California Republican in 2024), the Democrats count on grassroots donors like you, John.

Will you join me in supporting our mission to retake the U.S. House and finally put some guardrails on Trump by making a contribution towards their organizing efforts?
