Zelenskyy brings Europe’s top leaders with him to meet Trump on ending Russia’s war
Ukraine’s future could hinge on a hastily assembled meeting Monday at the White House as Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy brings with him an extraordinary cadre of European leaders to show Donald Trump a united front against Russia. The European political heavy-hitters were left out of Trump’s summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin last Friday, and they're looking to safeguard Ukraine and the continent from any widening aggression from Moscow. By arriving as a group, they hope to avoid any debacles like Zelenskyy’s February meeting in the Oval Office, where the MAGA cult leader chastised him for not showing enough gratitude for American military aid. The meeting also is a test of America’s relationship with its closest allies after the European Union and the United Kingdom accepted Trump’s tariff hikes partly because they wanted his support on Ukraine.

Home Depot forces GOP to stop selling "Deport Depot" merchandise
The Republican Party of Florida was forced to yank a line of despicable, deportation-themed merchandise after The Home Depot objected to the unauthorized use of its brand. Former Donald Trump whipping post and somehow still Gov. Ron DeSantis unveiled plans for a new immigrant concentration camp dubbed the "Deportation Depot" last week, and ghouls in his party quickly and predictably rolled out hats, T-shirts, and mugs embossed with "THE DEPORT DEPOT," mimicking the retail giant’s logo. It's almost as if the cruelty IS the point.

Confederate statue in North Carolina dedicated to "faithful slaves" targeted in class-action lawsuit
There is a Confederate statue in Tyrrell County, North Carolina — which has stood since outside the county courthouse since 1902 — that includes the inscription "In Appreciation of Our Faithful Slaves." Shockingly, a number of residents — mostly Black — are less than enthused about the statue and its wildly offensive, dehumanizing inscription and have been forced to file a lawsuit to have it removed. Tyrrell County officials have been resistant to taking action themselves, citing super-sacred state monument protection laws that bar them from making any changes to the monument. Sounds about white. 2025, y'all.

Top Trump envoy claims Putin agreed to "game-changing" security protections for Ukraine at Alaska summit
Steve Witkoff, Donald Trump’s top Middle East envoy, said that a trilateral meeting between the leaders of Ukraine, Russia, and the US was likely to occur in the days ahead but did not provide specifics regarding the deal reached between the president and Vladimir Putin in Alaska on Friday. Witkoff went on to claim that Putin agreed to one "game-changing" concession: "That the United States could offer Article 5-like protection, which is one of the real reasons why Ukraine wants to be in NATO." Time will most certainly tell.

Rubio defends State Dept. halting Gaza visas after Laura Loomer takes victory lap for their cancelation
It's 2025 and obviously nothing matters anymore, so it tracks that Laura frickin' Loomer, unabashedly obnoxious Twitter troll and shamelessly racist Islamophobe, is apparently now helping steer US visa policy. Marco Rubio defended the Trump regime's policy change yesterday on CBS' Face the Nation yesterday and claimed — without citing evidence — that some organizations attempting to acquire emergency visas on behalf of desperate, dying, and displaced Gazans — including gravely ill and malnourished children — have "strong links" to designated terrorist groups such as Hamas. How convenient and curiously unverified.
