Dear friend,

On 12 September, as the House of Lords prepares for its Second Reading and potential first vote
on the assisted dying Bill, we must show them that our campaign is made up of
real people, from every community, who want to see choice, love and compassion
for dying people.

Will you attend our demonstration for choice, dignity and compassion?

Where: Parliament Square, Westminster, SW1P 3JX
When: 8am - 12pm, 12 September 2025

This is our most urgent demo yet. With the assisted dying bill now in the House of Lords, more than ever we are
relying on the power of public opinion to show Peers (Members of the House of
Lords) that they must fulfil the commitment the House of Commons has made to the
British public and legalise assisted dying.

Every time we win, the stakes get higher and our opponents fight harder. At our
demonstration for the Bill’s last vote in the House of Commons back in June, we
saw the lengths they went to to try and overpower the voices of the vast
majority of this country. For Peers who are coming to this issue, in some cases,
for the first time, we have to make a strong first impression.

Will you stand with dying people and show Peers that it’s time for them to let
us choose?

Getting the Bill through the House of Commons was an incredible achievement -
but we mustn’t assume that means there won’t be challenges in the House of
Lords. Opponents are publicly threatening to do everything in their power to
wreck this Bill. We cannot let them.

Thank you for everything you do to support this Bill – and in advance for
standing with us on the 12 September.

With determination and solidarity,

Sadie Kempner

P.S. Every time we win the stakes get higher - attending this demo is such an
important way to show up for the Bill as it progresses in the House of Lords. Please register today.
