Illegal Aliens Should Not Be Counted In the Census

Inflated numbers: For decades, leftists have taken advantage of the U.S. Census by counting illegal aliens and emphasizing racial and ethnic background in the Census questionnaire—both of which affect the funding and power of blue districts.

  • But the Trump administration is moving in the right direction.
  • “Unbeknownst to most people, the administration has already done a great deal of good to stop the census from balkanizing the country by quietly shuttering the Census Bureau’s National Advisory Committee on Racial, Ethnic, and Other Populations,” writes Mike Gonzalez, senior fellow in Heritage's Davis Institute.

Stellar choice: Heritage’s Chief Economist EJ Antoni, Ph.D., was recently nominated as commissioner of the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

  • “EJ Antoni is one of the sharpest economic minds in the nation—a fearless truth-teller who grasps that sound economics must serve the interests of American families, not globalist elites,” stated Heritage President Dr. Kevin Roberts.

Grim reality: The Left wants you to think DC is the epitome of law and order, since the city's numbers show violent crime down 26%.

  • “But those figures are under scrutiny after accusations that officials manipulated the data,” writes Heritage Research Fellow Delano Squires.
  • It doesn’t help that DC prosecutors declined to prosecute 67% of cases. Heritage Senior Legal Fellow Cully Stimson has the receipts.

DEI Diplomat ‘Superheroes’ No One Asked For

Villains: President Biden’s State Department leaders may have thought of themselves as superheroes, but their actions were anything but heroic.

  • “Instead of crime, this crack team of political appointees fought global injustice, cis-heteronormativity and the patriarchy,” writes Simon Hankinson, Senior Research Fellow in the Border Security and Immigration Center.

Gender Ideology Loses in Court Yet Again

No right: The 8th and 10th Circuits both recently upheld state laws protecting minors from “gender affirming” medical interventions.

  • “Gender warriors today are trying to use the courts to force on the American people a dangerous agenda that neither they nor their elected representatives want,” writes Heritage Senior Legal Fellow Tom Jipping. “So far, at least, they are striking out.”
