Town centre spotlight: Southwell

Southwell is one of the prettiest towns in Nottinghamshire. The famous Minster, known for ‘The Leaves of Southwell’ carvings is a must-see, along with the Archbishop’s Palace and stunning garden.

With a range of independent shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs, there is plenty to explore. Just outside the town centre is The Workhouse and Infirmary, Southwell Racecourse and the Swan Sanctuary. Southwell is also known for the Bramley Apple, with the first being propagated over 200 years ago from a local garden.
