John,
We have been busy recruiting and supporting strong, progressive champions
across the country, up and down the ticket, and we have another exciting
candidate to announce!
Regina Romero is the true progressive in the race for Mayor of Tucson, and
we couldn’t be more excited to stand with her ahead of the Democratic
Primary in August.
With Donald Trump in the White House, it’s more important than ever to
have unabashed progressive champions like Regina standing up for what’s
right in border communities like Tucson.
Every day, we’re hearing new reports about Trump’s inhumane concentration
camps -- from the dirty and vile conditions, to the lack of food and
medical attention, to the abuse committed by Customs and Border Patrol
agents.
We need a strong leader to stand up to the Trump administration’s immoral
anti-immigrant agenda and fight for our communities. That leader is
Regina.
As a city council member, she led efforts to declare Tucson an ‘Immigrant
Welcoming City’ and prohibited contractors that helped build Trump’s
racist border wall from getting city contracts.

so she needs all the help she can get from this people-powered grassroots
team.

As mayor, we know Regina would fight for high-quality jobs, take bold
action to combat climate change, and unapologetically stand up for
immigrant rights.
With DFA’s help, Regina won her re-election for city council in 2015 --
now it’s time to expand our efforts and help her become Tucson’s next
Mayor in 2019.

Arizona, and more than one million members nationwide by supporting
Regina’s fight for mayor: pitch in whatever you can afford today.

Together, we can continue moving Tucson forward and bringing positive
change across the country.
Thanks for doing your part,
