Donald Trump has federalized the National Guard and taken control of the DC City Police in order to “rid the city of crime,” despite the fact that DC’s crime rate is down 35% since last year.

This is just another attempt by Trump to assert his control over a major city to prove to his sycophantic followers that he can.

Trump worships authoritarians, and he’s trying to repeat their playbook, from LA to DC.
