As Jared’s finance director, it’s my job to keep track of spending in this race.

Throughout the past few months, here’s what I’ve been seeing -- as a battleground race, our team is up against some of the highest levels of dark money spending and outside cash in the country.

Make no mistake -- these dark money, special interest groups will only intensify their spending efforts as we get closer to November. That’s why we need this team to step up and help us meet major fundraising goals like the one coming up on Tuesday.

This Tuesday is a quarterly reporting deadline, which means it’s mission-critical that we meet our $18,400 goal before then. Can Jared count on you all to step up and chip in whatever you can right now?

Our performance heading into Tuesday will be made public after the deadline, so this fundraising goal is different than some of the ones we’ve told you about before.

And when those numbers go public, we know that our opponents will be studying them closely. Dark money and special interest groups have already blanketed this district with their outside cash -- a poor showing from our team on Tuesday will only embolden them to spend even more.

Jared has been an independent fighter for this district in Congress largely because he’s beholden to no one but constituents like you. That’s why he doesn’t accept a dime of corporate PAC money -- but that’s also why he’s relying on this team of grassroots supporters to keep his campaign going strong.

So can you help our team out by chipping in before our deadline this Tuesday? Every dollar we raise goes a long way in discouraging outside groups from spending even more in an attempt to buy this district’s next representative.
