No warrant. No badge number. No accountability.
This is what unchecked ICE power looks like — and it should outrage every single one of us. If ICE can get away with brutalizing a U.S. citizen in broad daylight, what do you think they’re doing to immigrant communities behind closed doors?
This is why I’ve introduced legislation to make it explicitly illegal for ICE to arrest U.S. citizens, and to hold agents accountable when they break the law. Because no one in this country should have to live in fear of being snatched off the street by their own government.
But let’s be honest: the only way we’ll get Congress to act is if they feel overwhelming pressure from the public.
