JOHN,

I want to be honest with you about something I think a lot of us have been feeling lately (the last ten years):

Politics in the United States feels like one long, never-ending emergency. Every headline is a disaster. Every news alert sounds like the end of the world. And every election seems to boil down to choosing the least terrifying option on the ballot.

I get it. I feel it too.

But that’s not why I’m running for Senate.

Yes, I’m running to stop the chaos and corruption coming from people like Donald Trump and Greg Abbott. Yes, I’m running to defeat John Cornyn or Ken Paxton—whoever the Republican Party decides to throw at us.

But more than that, I’m running because I believe people deserve a government that actually makes their lives materially better.

I want you to feel hopeful when you cast your vote—not just angry. I want you to feel like you’re voting for someone who will deliver—not just against someone dangerous who will end the republic if they win.

I’ve flown into combat. I’ve lived and worked in space. I’ve looked out on the beauty of Earth and the United States from the greatest vantage point in the universe. I know what I’m fighting for, and I know what it takes to solve complex problems under pressure. But I also understand that the point of public service isn’t just survival—it’s progress. Progress, problem-solving, and perseverance in the face of great challenges is the entire story of the human race.

I want to help people afford healthcare. I want to protect freedoms—not just fearmonger about losing them. I want to rebuild trust, expand opportunity, and restore the idea that government can and should do good things for regular people.

If that’s a future you believe in, then I’m asking you to support my campaign today—because that kind of campaign doesn’t build itself. We’ve got to build it from the ground up. [ [link removed] ]
