Do you remember the chilling story I shared back in February about the urgent call I got to protect Tom Homan?
Let me refresh your memory, because it's a tale of real American heroes stepping up when the government failed us all.
On December 23rd, a close friend reached out with a somber request.
He had just received a call from Tom Homan himself—President Trump's newly appointed Border Czar.
Tom was hitting the ground running to secure our borders and keep dangerous criminal illegals out, but he faced a credible death threat.
Shockingly, the outgoing Biden Administration left him and his family with zero protection.
Joe Biden knew about the evil plot brewing against Tom, yet he abandoned him to the wolves. That's not just negligence; it's a blatant abuse of power by a corrupt outgoing administration who chose to leave an American in danger due to petty politics.
As founder of American Liberty Fund, I couldn't stand by.
Our mission is to advance liberty through electoral politics and educate folks on corruption and overreach—like this exact scenario. But we had to work quietly and it wasn’t appropriate to reach out to the public for support as that would have made the situation more dire. So we bootstrapped the costs and put the best men in place to ensure Tom and his family were safe through inauguration day.
Today, we’re left with thousands of dollars in expenses that we simply cannot pay. Flights, hotels, equipment. These bills need to go away and I need your help as a patriot to make that happen.
Back in December, we scrambled overnight to fund and assemble a security detail. It was a no-brainer; keeping Tom safe meant protecting the man who would safeguard our nation's freedom from invasive threats. We didn’t even think of the expense, we just had to do it.
We called on our network of veterans, and seven brave men volunteered immediately. They dropped everything.
Leading them was a Navy SEAL who quit his job on the spot, said goodbye to his family, and glued himself to Tom's side for a full month.
The team included a former Army Special Forces combat medic, three Army vets, and three Marine Corps vets—all with serious personal security experience.
One was a tracker, another a retired law enforcement officer, and one specialized in executive extractions.
These weren't polished Secret Service types; they were big, bearded warriors who cleared paths just by walking through crowds. Mean as hell, experienced, and laser-focused on the mission.
They racked up over a dozen trips across the country. An advance team scouted ahead, while others guarded Tom's family back home, coordinating with grateful local law enforcement.
If the government had handled this, it would've cost taxpayers hundreds of thousands monthly. But our volunteers pinched pennies, keeping costs low. Still, expenses added up—travel, gear, basics, and that’s where you come in. Will you donate to help cover these remaining costs?
On January 20th, our SEAL handed Tom over safely at President Trump's inauguration to a new government team.
Mission accomplished. But back in February, we asked for help covering remaining reimbursements and thanking those heroes. Many stepped up, but we're not quite there.
