| John, Did you know that Americans spend between 8 and 12 seconds reading an email before they decide to keep going or click away? I hope you’ll indulge me today and spend a bit more time than that reading this critical email right now. I still remember the morning of September 11th, 2001. I was an 18-year-old in Bloomington, Minnesota, watching smoke rise from the Twin Towers. In that moment, I knew my life would never be the same. That same day, I decided: I would fight for my country.  My name is Adam Schwarze, a 20-year veteran of the Marine infantry and Navy SEALs. Shortly after my 18th birthday, I raised my right hand and swore an oath to defend the United States of America. That oath took me from the frozen streets of Minnesota to the sands of Iraq, the mountains of Afghanistan, and into the shadows where danger lived. For 20 years — nine deployments to more than 70 countries — I carried our flag into places where failure was not an option. I fought beside the bravest men and women I’ll ever know. I’ve seen the cost of freedom up close. And I will never forget why we fight. But today, I look at our country and see a different kind of battlefield. While working families struggle to put food on the table, Washington insiders get richer. While our border is overrun, politicians turn their backs. While our children fall behind, radicals push an agenda that erodes the values we grew up with. This isn’t the America I risked my life for. And I’ll be damned if I stand by and watch her fade away. The Senate seat I’m seeking hasn’t been winnable since 2009, but now, suddenly, it’s a top-tier target for Republicans, and I plan to be the man who brings home the win for our party. My only problem is that I don’t have enough cash to get my campaign off the ground, and I can’t self-fund. I’m not asking for much, but even $1 will do the trick now. I don’t know where I was on November 3rd, 2008, but when I write out that date, the last full day we had a Republican representing Minnesota in the U.S. Senate before an election, it feels like a lifetime ago. I’m virtually unknown in Minnesota, so I need to raise as much capital as possible to introduce myself to people across the state before the end of the year.
