Our legal win to protect a marine monument from commercial fishing

We sued the Trump administration for trying to illegally open one of the world’s most pristine tropical marine environments to commercial fishing — and we won.

Our attorneys explain the “endangerment finding”

Trump’s Environmental Protection Agency wants to declare that climate pollution emitted from sources like power plants and motor vehicles poses little risk to human health. This proposal rejects mainstream science and misunderstands the law. Our attorneys give their legal analysis and explain the flaws in the EPA’s reasoning.

If the Trump administration’s plan goes through, the Environmental Protection Agency will abandon the federal government’s role in reducing greenhouse gases that threaten our planet and health.

Stopping the buildout of a detention center in Florida’s Everglades

Florida and the Trump administration have been ramming through the construction of an immigration detention facility within the Florida Everglades, the largest mangrove ecosystem in the Western Hemisphere. Earthjustice has defended this renowned wetland ecosystem, and its endangered inhabitants, for decades. Now, we’re determined to use the power of law to protect the Everglades from this cruel facility.

Sustainable agriculture organizations win in court

When the Trump administration canceled grants that would benefit farmers and organizations that work to strengthen rural communities, address food insecurity, and advance sustainable agriculture, we filed a lawsuit to win back those grants. Now, a federal court has ordered the Trump administration to reinstate the grants and deliver the funding for our clients.
