Hello, True Texans!
Let me start off with a shameless plug and invite you to the TTP@Home group meeting on Monday at 11am in N Richland Hills. I'm the speaker! We'll be talking about how to vet candidates, so if you'd like to join in, please reply to this email for the address.
I also want to thank John Montes for inviting Fran and me into his magic show! It made me laugh! I love that he thought outside the box to a way he could help build support for True Texas Project. So cool!
Here's something else pretty cool...
Do you have students heading off to college? There's a new effort to connect conservative students with local conservative clubs for young adults. I love that! And if there isn't anything listed for your school, there are resources provided to find or... hey, start something (building that resume!). Check it out...
"So-and-so said such-and-such. Does TTP believe that because I don't want anything to do with you now."
They're usually referring to one of our volunteers or board members or something the media said we said. It's almost always out of context or twisted or simply misunderstood, though sometimes it's legit. Guess what... we don't all march in lockstep with each other! And guess what else... that's ok! As long as we are all marching in the same general direction, we can all work together.
If you want to understand this better, check out this article from American Thinker that was shared with me. I wanted to stand up and cheer after reading it.
Don't leave anything on the table... Last week I told you how one donor was inspired to donate NVDA stock in an effort to help us stay afloat. And now you saw above how another donor found a creative idea with his podcast. Makes my heart so happy! Don't forget about how one donor has offered up a $5000 matching grant. It only works if YOU jump in to Turn Up The Texas Heat! Use the QR code in the graphic below so that it's flagged to apply to the challenge. We're only about 25% of the way there so far, but I'm pretty sure that's because many of you donated to our general fund instead of this challenge. It's all good because the money goes to the same place, but we'd love to know if you're participating!
