Donald Trump has sent the National Guard into Washington, D.C., after already deploying troops in Los Angeles, and his team is saying out loud what we all know: this is just the beginning.

This isn’t about “crime.” Crime is down in D.C. This is about Trump normalizing military crackdowns on American soil, targeting Democratic cities, immigrants, unhoused people, and anyone who dares oppose him.

Jeanine Pirro, Trump’s handpicked enforcer and former Fox News talking head, promised, “Make no mistake, this is just the beginning.” And Trump himself threatened Chicago, Oakland, and Baltimore as next.
