When I was caring for my younger brothers, Sesame Street was a staple in our house — a show we could all learn from and enjoy. 

Then, as a young mom, my kids loved Sesame Street and other public programs.

Now, D.C. Republicans in Congress have voted to cut funding for programs like PBS, slash health care, and rip away nutrition support — the very things millions of families rely on.

I’m fighting to protect what matters. I’m working to put money back in people’s pockets, defend public programs, and make sure the next generation has every opportunity to succeed.

But I can’t do it alone — and we need to show them we won’t back down.
