We had a strong turnout at last week's town hall with Senator Ruben Gallego in Davenport. Hundreds of Iowans showed up to talk about their frustrations, especially with the big, bad, budget-busting bill.

Senator Gallego said it best: This bill will make “America poorer and sicker.” And as we suspected, many Iowans are unhappy with how their representatives voted in Washington.

The truth is: Democrats are playing offense in Iowa. We have three flippable House races, one competitive Senate race, and a battleground Governor’s race. Iowans are looking for change, and Republicans should be worried.

The one con to playing offense is that it takes money to stay on offense. The GOP will undoubtedly pour lots of money into these races, possibly making this cycle Iowa’s most expensive ever.
