When far-right Republicans in Texas tried to rig congressional maps to
keep power, Molly Cook didn’t just speak out. She walked out. Literally.

Alongside her fellow Senate Democrats, Molly walked out of the chamber in
solidarity with the Democrat Texas House Reps breaking quorum and to
protest the GOP’s plan to let politicians choose their voters.

But when Molly left, she didn’t walk back into the Senate chamber. She
went back to her district to do the real work to build the Democratic
party brick by brick, starting with the grassroots in her district. She is
out right now knocking on doors, educating her district, and organizing
with her communities. She isn’t waiting on anyone to tell her what the
plan is. She is leading by example.

These are the kinds of fights young leaders were made for. And this is
exactly why we endorsed Molly Cook last cycle and helped her win.
