Today marks three years since President Biden signed into law the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), the result of months of hard work and negotiations.
With this historic law, Democrats delivered a huge win for working families, the economy, and our environment.
I was gratified to have authored the drug pricing framework that was included in IRA provisions, which lowered out-of-pocket drug costs, allows Medicare to negotiate prescription drug prices, and caps insulin costs for Medicare recipients.
And, the IRA’s largest-ever federal investment in climate action put our country on the right track towards clean energy and environmental cleanup projects.
But, President Trump and the GOP have been dead-set on chipping away at this progress: their disastrous budget will raise energy costs for the average family and jeopardize the future of job-creating clean energy projects.
It’s time for us to step up and fight back. That means putting in the work now so we’re ready to take back the House in 2026. Can you pitch in right away to help Democrats win and get our country back on track?
