Hi John, 

Donald Trump is once again using his power to seek retribution against his perceived enemies.

This time, it’s a baseless criminal investigation ordered by Attorney General Pam Bondi and led by corrupt Ed Martin — who holds a major grudge against me after I tanked his nomination.

John, this is not the first attack against me. And it certainly will not be the last.

But this attack isn’t just about me: it’s a test to see how far Trump can go to silence the voices of anyone who dares challenge his power and expose his corruption. It’s also part of an effort to instill fear, which began with targeting universities and the press, continued with law firms and corporations, and now goes after elected officials.

But I won’t back down. Not now, not ever. I’ll keep exposing the President’s corruption and that of those around him, and I’ll keep fighting to lower costs and protect health care for millions of Californians.
