That’s because last year to the day, Democrats passed the Inflation Reduction Act — the largest investment in climate, clean energy, and lower health care costs in our nation’s history.

It’s making a real difference in millions of Americans' lives, but it only happened because we had the votes to pass it.

Since the IRA became law, we’ve seen:

• Lower prescription drug costs 
• Medicare negotiating drug prices 
• Penalties for companies who price-gouge on life-saving drugs
• Historic investments in clean energy and American manufacturing
• More jobs, lower emissions, and a fairer tax system — all without raising taxes on working families

Despite this clear progress, Republicans voted unanimously against the Inflation Reduction Act. They’ve made it clear: They’d rather protect Big Pharma and Big Oil than help working families.

We can’t let them undo this progress. If we want to lower costs, tackle climate change, and grow an economy that works for everyone, we have to fight for it — starting right here in Virginia.
