Climate crisis and minimalist action. Police brutality and racial
injustice. Healthcare for some. Pandemics with no real response. These
are the results of the status quo.

THESE CRISES ARE THE RESULT OF BAD POLICIES AND BAD POLICYMAKERS.
We’ve seen the response strategy of our current representatives:
throw money at multinational corporations, billionaires, and
lobbyists. Meanwhile they leave Main Street to fend for itself, with
almost no help from the government. We saw the results of their
response in the financial crisis of 2008: trillions of dollars in Wall
Street bailouts, yet 3.1 million foreclosures nationwide. NOW IN THIS
PANDEMIC, MAIN STREET HAS BEEN LEFT HIGH AND DRY AGAIN.

If we don’t win our election on July 7, the establishment will
continue its cycle of outdated thinking. We have just 9 days left. CAN

If we don't win, CONGRESS WILL PASS A CLIMATE MINIMALIST BILL THAT
WILL DO NOTHING TO CLEAN UP OUR WORLD. New fossil fuel pipelines will
spring up across the country and ravage our communities for the next
thirty years. The planet will warm past the point of no return. The
32-year corporate Democrat I’m challenging in this primary, who
takes MILLIONS FROM FOSSIL FUEL COMPANIES like Duke Energy and
TransCanada, will never protect our lives from the pollution of these
companies. He put out a bill that would try to mitigate massive
coastal flooding, instead of calling out the root cause of the climate
crisis—pollution and fossil fuel companies. We must address
causation, not just effects.

Congress will pass a watered-down racial justice bill, which will
still fail to protect black and brown communities from systemic
racism. AS WE SLAP MURDERERS ON THE WRIST, BLACK BODIES WILL CONTINUE
TO PILE UP. Congress will do something symbolic like changing a
definition of a hate crime to include lynching, something that should
have been done 120 years ago. We need our government to tackle the
hard challenges. We cannot be complacent.

Congress will pass a weak public option for the health insurance
marketplace, “achieving” something that should have been written
into the Affordable Care Act 10 years ago. MILLIONS WILL REMAIN
UNINSURED AND UNDERINSURED, millions more will be stuck in their jobs
for the insurance benefits, and everyone will pay more than they
should, more than every other nation on the planet. We need real
change, not half measures.

This campaign is so important because it’s the difference between
progress and the status quo. IF YOU LIKE THE DIRECTION OUR COUNTRY IS
HEADING, BY ALL MEANS SUPPORT MY OPPONENT—HE HELPED GET US HERE. BUT
IF YOU THINK IT’S TIME FOR CHANGE, FOR A NEW DIRECTION AND A NEW
DEAL, THEN I GUARANTEE I AM THE BETTER DEMOCRAT FOR THE JOB.
