Thanks to everyone who came to our Women’s Caucus Happy Hour in partnership with Pretty Informed Girls (PIG).
Over 45 young women in Brooklyn, including many new faces to BYD, came together to discuss progressive politics, fighting fascism, and our role in uplifting local women candidates for elected office. We were joined by Council Members Crystal Hudson and Shahana Hanif, candidate for District 47 Kayla Santosuosso, and a representative from the Zohran for Mayor campaign.
We still have lots of work to do, and we hope the relationships made from events like this can foster a community-centered network as you expand activism in Brooklyn and in your neighborhoods.
