We were all set to open a brand new, landmark park right in the heart of Miami in 2026. It was a park meant to bring us together — to heal a community broken apart by the construction of I-95 many decades ago. We had $60 million in federal funding, community buy-in, and elected officials on board.
But then, Republican Maria Salazar took it all away. She voted for Trump’s “Big Ugly Bill” which cuts millions from Medicaid, Medicare, food assistance, schools, and programs like the one that would have funded this park in order to give tax breaks to billionaires.

So now, instead of a new 10 mile park with plenty of green space, native plants, and walking paths, we get…nothing.
And of course, Salazar continues to support keeping the Epstein files secret, refuses to take questions from constituents, and supports Trump’s tariffs and Alligator Alcatraz.
We deserve better.
We deserve a leader who will put our community's needs, not billionaires and Trump, first. That’s who I am.
As a father and small business owner, I know what families in Miami are going through. I will work to lower costs, make childcare affordable, help small businesses grow, and stand up for our environment.
