Dear John
New legislation forces animal rescuers to make unnecessary life and death decisions. To end the life of an animal that could be rehabilitated or to condemn a wild animal to a life in captivity.
Animals such as Huey, Dewey, Louis and Bob, above. They were found as tiny babies, when their drey was blown from a tree during a storm.
Rescuers hand-reared the infant squirrels, who were eventually released into a local garden, where they still visit now.
Their story would be very different if it happened today.
Grey squirrels do not deserve this persecution. Animal rescuers should not be forced to euthanise any animal.
Please support our campaign to reinstate licenses for animal rescuers and allow them to release grey squirrels by making a donation now.
Thank you.
Best wishes,
Jade Emery
