For 116 years, the Evergreen State Fair [ [link removed] ] community has gathered at the fairgrounds to be dazzled and delighted. This year's theme, “The Evergreen State Fair, Where the Magic Comes Alive in 2025!” embodies the enchantment created during the 11-day Evergreen State Fair. Here are some top tips on "how to fair" while on a budget.

Top Tips for Fair on a Budget
Bring Your Own Food
You can bring outside food and drink into the Evergreen Fair Park (no glass and no outside alcohol). There is a bag check upon entry and re-entry is allowed with handstamp.
Discount Rides
Purchase your $38 (+$1 online fee) Unlimited Ride Wristbands by August 20 and save $7! You can purchase the advance wristbands online at Etix.com (fee applies) or at the Fair Pass Booth before August 20 (no additional fee). The pass booth is open M-F 8:30 am-4 pm until August 20.
Discount Admission
Weekday Admission Pack: Our Weekday Roundup Ticket Package includes four tickets for only $40 (+ 2.50 online fee). We are encouraging fair guests to enjoy all the amazing things we have to offer on our six weekdays to spread out capacity and avoid crowded weekends. Purchase advance discount admission, group, carnival passes by August 20 and save!
Special Admission Days
* Senior Day is August 25 for $7 admission (age 65 and up)
* Kids Day is August 26 for $7 admission (ages 6-12). *Kids five and under are always FREE!*
Take Community Transit
Getting to the Fair using transit is easy! Community Transit’s bus service takes fairgoers straight to the West/Red Gate entrance – no parking fees or parking lot traffic. Youth 18 and younger always ride for free, and adult fares are $2.50 (reduced fares available for eligible riders). Free Activities
There are HUNDREDS of free things to do at the Fair that are included with your gate admission price. Here’s a list of a few of them to get you started on planning your day at the Fair!
* Courtyard Stage – A variety of musical acts will perform on stage for 11 days. Acts like the Blue Mariah Band, Danny Vernon’s Illusions of Elvis, Inochi Taiko drummers, Mexican Folkloric Dancers Bailadores de Bronce, local bands, Ciscoe Morris and more!
* Roving Entertainment – From a one-man band, balloon twister, hula hooping, to comedy – they will surprise you!
* Contests – Schedule HERE [ [link removed] ]. Sign-ups are first-come, first-entered on site. This year we will have egg toss, duck calling, water balloon toss, scone walk, quarter in the haystack, and frisbee throwing.
* International Lumberjack Show - Watch as axes are thrown, logs are rolled and lumberjacks race to the top of 60-foot poles! This family-friendly event will be sure to have your jaws drop. Daily shows at 12:00 p.m., 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. (no 7:00 p.m. show on Labor Day).
* Sky Valley Antique Tractor Display - Come visit the large collection of antique tractors located East of the Pavilion! If you have little ones, they can race around a roped off track in a tractor their own size!
* Aztec Indian Dancers – 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. daily (no 6 p.m. show on Labor Day) in Frontier Land.
* Free Fireworks on Opening Day! 9 p.m. in the Grandstands
* Kids’ Farmer for a Day - In Red Barn at Ag Display #260 - Pick an apple, milk a cow, dig up a potato, gather eggs - Be a farmer! (Daily 10:30 a.m. - 8 p.m. - closes at 7 p.m. on Labor Day)
* Goat Playground – See goats play and frolic! East of barn #609
* BMX Freestyle Show north of the Grandstands
* Western Heritage Museum
* Evergreen State Fair Classic Car Display August 21 from 3-7 pm in the Grandstands
* Dinosaur Encounters, Butterfly Encounters, Duck Races
* Thousands of exhibits to view and enjoy in our Display Hall
* Every 13th Purple Cow is free! Try your chances at the Snohomish County Dairy Women booth.
* Make and takes in the Longhouse
* Animal barns - Meet cute animals and the kids who raised them in our barns including cows, sheep, goats, cats, dogs, cavies, poultry, and llamas/alpacas.
* Costume characters by the Ag. Stage at the West Gate!
* Healthy Communities Day is August 26
* *Monroe Fair Days Parade:* Saturday, August 23, at 11:00 a.m. on Main Street, Downtown Monroe.
* *Evergreen Youth Livestock Auction:* 5 p.m. Saturday, August 23, Judging Arena.
* *Family Fun Activity Center:* “Adventure Alley” is under the Grandstands. Find family activities for all ages. Check out fun activities like Toddler Town, a straw maze, Dino Encounters, concessions and indoor seating.
