After President Trump signed the GOP tax plan last month, our communities are bracing for impact.
The consequences will be far-reaching: Not only does the so-called “Big Beautiful Bill” kick millions of Americans off of their health insurance and force hospitals to close, but it will also worsen our country’s physician shortage by putting medical school out of reach for many highly qualified students.
All of this adds up to a public health disaster.
