FACT , the organization that filed the bogus IRS complaint, is deeply embedded in a far-right dark money network. And it’s known for targeting voting rights groups and Democratic officials with politically motivated complaints.

Let’s be clear about why they do this: the voting rights movement is under attack because extreme Republicans know how effective we are.

MAGA Republicans don’t want Black voters, voters of color, young voters, or immigrant communities to have power. So they resort to voter suppression, and they manufacture scandals to target groups that help those communities use their power at the ballot box.

It’s part of an effort to create a chilling effect — attempting to wield government power to silence dissent, weaken opposition, and clear the path for minority rule by silencing the American people.

But we have ‘fight’ in our name for a reason – we don’t back down to would-be dictators, and we won’t let up our work to ensure equal access to the ballot box.
