There have always been miscarriages of justice in the United States, but rarely have the people in power so brazenly flaunted two very different tiers of justice.

John, some guy who threw a sandwich at a Customs and Border Patrol Agent in DC is being charged with felony assault of a police officer by Judge Jeannine Piro. That charge could carry a sentence of a year behind bars.

Turns out he was also a Justice Department employee, and Attorney General Pam Bondi has fired him from his job.

According to Bondi, this guy “is an example of the Deep State we have been up against for seven months as we work to refocus DOJ."

Look, I’m not a judge. I’m not leading the DOJ. But I’m old enough to remember Jeanine Pirro calling J6ers who were imprisoned and charged with assault on police officers “hostages.” She criticized the sentencing of Enrique Tarrio — the leader of the Proud Boys, and one of the architects of January 6th. She called for investigations into the prosecutors who led the cases against J6ers.

And over at the DOJ, Bondi’s made a big show of firing anybody who worked on J6 cases. Matter of fact, she’s actually HIRED a guy who was in the Capitol on J6. A guy who screamed for blood, yelled “KILL ‘EM” as his pals beat Capitol Police officers.

Bondi: “If you touch any law enforcement officer, we will come after you… You will NOT work in this administration while disrespecting our government and law enforcement.” Or, we’ll hire them as a senior advisor.

Pirro: “Assault a law enforcement officer, and you’ll be prosecuted.” Or, we’ll investigate the people who prosecuted those crimes.

Tough on crime. Back the Blue. Except when it counts.

There have always been miscarriages of justice in the United States, but rarely have the people in power so brazenly flaunted two very different tiers of justice.

If more than a thousand of our guys get charged with beating cops and breaking the law… that doesn’t count.

If you are best friends with a pedophile, a creep, a sex trafficker, and there’s a ton of evidence directly linking you to his crimes — nah, sweep that under a rug.

But if you throw a Subway sandwich at a Border Patrol agent, charge him. If you have no criminal record and you’re picking crops or helping reno kitchens, we’ll put you on a direct flight to El Salvador.

America was founded on equality before the law. It’s never been perfect, but we’ve always tried.

The people running the country are trying to kill that principle, and we can’t let them get away with it.

I won’t stop fighting.

Stay strong,

Ruben
