Friend, I've been traveling across the Evergreen State to hear the concerns of working folks and health care providers since Trump's Big, Ugly Betrayal passed.

Trump and Republicans ran on a lot of promises, and lowering costs was at the forefront. But since they took power in January, they have done practically nothing to lower costs. In fact, they are making life more expensive for working people by passing into law the largest cuts to Medicaid and health care in our country's history – all to pass massive tax cuts for billionaires who don't need them, while prices skyrocket due to Trump's tariffs.

Premiums are already set to skyrocket for next year, and health care will become more expensive for everyone when millions of Americans lose coverage as a result of Republicans’ attacks on Medicaid and the Affordable Care Act.

And here’s the thing: it's rural parts of Washington state that will be hit the hardest by Republican health care cuts.

That's why I've been talking to people in rural and "red" communities to make sure everyone understands what's happening with health care in America and WHY. If we want to start fixing this mess, we need to make plain WHO is at fault for the higher costs, longer wait times, and worse access to care.

I believe Democrats need to talk to everyone everywhere to win support and build trust.
