Democrat,

This week, we kicked off our Coalitions Roadshow with the launch of Youth for NJ Victory. Over the next few weeks, more of our NJDSC coalitions will be rebranding as part of our NJ Victory coordinated campaign to elect Democrats up and down the ballot. Together, we’re unifying our message, uplifting each coalition, and energizing communities for a historic win this November.

Upcoming coalition launches include:

While we’re building a stronger, more inclusive future, Jack Ciattarelli is trying to drag New Jersey backward. This week, we saw attempts to repeal legal protections for same-sex marriage. We know this won’t be the last. We need a governor we can trust to stand up for our rights and won’t back down in the face of Trump and his loyalists’ hateful agenda. Jack Ciattarelli’s proven he’s not that guy. He voted against legalizing same-sex marriage in our state and wants to pack the state Supreme Court with ultra-conservative justices. He’s too extreme for New Jersey.

— Chairman LeRoy J. Jones, Jr.

Despite crime being at historic lows, Trump has taken unprecedented steps to seize control of the city of Washington, DC, putting local police under federal command and deploying the National Guard, all under the guise of cracking down on so-called “savages.” The hypocrisy couldn’t be clearer. In January he pardoned nearly all of the Jan. 6 rioters who terrorized our nation’s capital, trashed the halls of Congress, and injured police officers. When violence serves his political agenda, Trump calls it “patriotism.” When it doesn’t, he calls in the troops.

And through it all, he still hasn’t released the Epstein files.

Mikie Sherrill is making it clear: she’ll fight for working families, union members, and small businesses across New Jersey.

Earlier this week at the SMART International Conference, Mikie outlined her vision to fix New Jersey’s broken transit systems by working with union labor, stabilizing NJTransit’s budget, and increasing access to reliable transportation.

She also met with the New Jersey Chamber of Commerce and the New Jersey Jewish Business Alliance to share her plan to help small businesses thrive. That means cutting unacceptably high costs, speeding up permitting, and ensuring our economy works for everyone.

Strong businesses mean good jobs, and Mikie’s ready to deliver both.

Donald Trump promised a better economy, yet as time goes by it’s only getting worse. The ripple effects of Trump’s trade war are making inflation worse and forcing Americans to tighten their wallets. Businesses owners throughout New Jersey, from pizzerias and small shops to manufacturers are feeling the squeeze as a result of Trump’s chaotic economic policy shifts.

Yet, Jack Ciattarelli supports them wholeheartedly, and has from the beginning.

He said:

Jack’s support of the president is costing New Jerseyans. We need a governor like Mikie Sherrill who will fight to bring down costs.

Jack’s Not for Jersey Press Tour Kickoff

The NJDSC kicked off its “Jack’s Not for Jersey” press tour this week in Jersey City outside of the former Trump Plaza Residences, with Congressman Rob Menendez, Laborers Local 55 in Newark President Martinique Costa, and Lissa Santiago, a 30-year Jersey City public school educator. At the press conference, they called out Jack Ciattarelli’s refusal to stand up against Trump and put New Jerseyans first. Read more here
