Every day the corporate media feeds Americans a diet of fear, danger, and spectacle.

Friend,

Every day the corporate media feeds Americans a diet of fear, danger, and spectacle.

From the coronavirus spreading like wildfire, to skyrocketing unemployment, to the never-ending Trump show, the corporate media never fails to deliver the worst news in the world on any given day.

But there's a big part they leave out: The world doesn't have to be such a horrifying mess. We can change it.

Here's an example: While COVID-19 spikes around the U.S., countries with universal, government-run health care, like the U.K., Canada, and France, have largely whipped the virus.

Common Dreams readers already know that, but those who rely on the corporate media don't.

It's the same story on issue after issue: the climate crisis, police violence, homelessness . . .

Americans are numb to the constant onslaught of bad news. They need solutions, not just fear, especially as we approach such a pivotal election.

You rely on Common Dreams to provide that coverage, but with unemployment surging, many of our most loyal readers have been forced to cut back on charitable donations. So if you can, please donate to help meet our Mid-Year Fundraising Goal of $75,000 by July 1.

Will you make a donation today? Every little bit helps—from $1 to $25 to $100 or more.
