![]() Friend, I’ve long been committed to defending reproductive rights here in Colorado. So when Congress specifically included the “Defund Provision” in their massive spending bill — targeting Planned Parenthood and health care access for millions of low-income Americans — I immediately stepped in, joining a coalition of over 20 Democratic State Attorneys General to challenge this cruel and unlawful provision in federal court.
This case affects access to health care everywhere — even in states where abortion is still legal. The Defund Provision specifically blocks Medicaid reimbursements for essential health care services, such as cancer screenings, birth control, and STI testing at Planned Parenthood health centers. Cutting off Medicaid reimbursements to Planned Parenthood could shutter 200+ health centers nationwide, leaving over a million Americans without access to key health care services, many of whom are unlikely to find and receive care elsewhere. Right wingers in Congress may want to punish Planned Parenthood for providing abortion services, but Coloradans have made it overwhelmingly clear that we support reproductive health care in this state — and we won’t stand for this attack on our reproductive freedom. I’ll always fight for your reproductive rights, because everyone deserves the freedom to make their own personal health care decisions — without interference from the federal government. If you agree, please, chip in to my campaign today and help me keep standing up for Coloradans’ reproductive freedom as your next Governor → If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:
