   This is outrageous, John.
Under Donald Trump, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is trying to
illegally claw back $7 billion in Solar For All grants meant to help low-
and middle-income families access solar energy.^1
This funding was already approved by Congress when it passed the Inflation
Reduction Act in 2022. It was expected to help 900,000 families save more
than $350 million on their utility bills each year.^2
Now the Trump administration is trying to yank it all away.
But here’s the thing, John. Congress holds the federal purse
strings, not Trump. [ [link removed] ]We need to tell Congress to stand up to Trump and
stop the clean energy clawbacks. Are you with us?

The climate crisis is hitting frontline and low-income communities the
hardest. Heat waves become deadly when you can’t afford air conditioning,
and hurricanes can knock out power for days and weeks on end.
The Solar For All program makes affordable, clean, renewable solar energy
more accessible to those who need it the most. It helps families install
solar panels on their rooftops, and it expands community solar projects to
bring solar energy to renters, too. It’s exactly the type of project we
need to protect our neighbors, lower utility costs, reduce carbon
pollution, and fight the climate crisis.
But it’s one of many projects threatened by Trump. His administration is
trying to cancel $20 billion out of the $27 billion in climate grants
approved by the Inflation Reduction Act — leaving communities without the
resources to stay safe and speed up the transition to clean energy.
[ [link removed] ]We can’t sit by while the Trump administration claws back climate
project grants from our communities. Help us tell Congress to stand up to
Trump and stop the clean energy clawbacks today.
