“We are witnessing a full-scale attack on the foundation of our nation’s public schools — a core part of our national fabric that approximately 50 million students rely on throughout the year."

—Kyrstin Schuette, in her op-ed for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution

John,

The One Big Beautiful Bill didn’t just cut funding for healthcare and working families. It also attacks our public schools, slashing billions for teacher training, after-school programs, and mental health services. And now, the Supreme Court has cleared the way for the federal government to dismantle the Department of Education, putting students, teachers, and communities at even greater risk.

That’s exactly what SBIP Founder and Executive Director, Kyrstin Schuette, is highlighting in her op-ed for The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Right-wing political groups are seizing this moment, targeting school boards as entry points to push extremist policies, ban books, and politicize education. With less than 10% voter turnout in these local elections, they often win simply because not enough people are paying attention.

The School Board Integrity Project is working to change that — but we need your help. We can raise the profile of these races by getting our message to more people. A donation of $5 or $10 can make a difference in a race decided by just a few votes [link removed]. John, can we count on you to chip in and help turn the tide in these school board races? The stakes couldn’t be higher. Investing in school board races is investing in the future of our kids — and our democracy.

Every child deserves the chance to learn, grow, and thrive. Every voter deserves schools that reflect shared community values. And every candidate deserves a fair shot to make that a reality.

We can’t afford to wait. Please help us amplify our message and elect more candidates who reflect our values. Chip in now → [link removed]

Nearly 1 in 5 elected officials in the U.S. serve on a school board.

Founded in 2023, the School Board Integrity Project (SBIP) recruits, trains, and elects school board members who will practice good governance, pursue academic freedom and excellence, and foster schools where every kid belongs — because the future we choose for our schools is the future we choose for our country.

Now active in 38 states, we’re building a nationwide network of leaders and working to reach all 50 — but we can’t do it without you. Please consider giving a donation of $5 or more today. [link removed]
