On Sunday, August 17th, the people of Israel will be staging a general strike, demanding an end to the war, the return of all of the hostages, and a surge of humanitarian aid. 

I invite you to join us in Washington, DC, where we will be gathering to stand in solidarity with our Israeli friends and families.

We will call for:

• An end to the war
• The immediate release of ALL hostages — only a deal can bring home those brutally kidnapped by Hamas and held in Gaza for almost two years
• A surge of humanitarian aid to end the suffering and starvation of Gazan civilians

We will gather on Sunday, Aug 17, 10:30 a.m in front of the White House (Lafayette Park side).

Signs are welcome. Please do not bring flags or anything mounted on sticks. 

I hope you'll be with us to help make it clear: in the face of everything that has already happened, we refuse to be silent.
