State Department Accuses China of Genocide, Slavery, and Other Vicious Crimes

The State Department published its annual global human rights reports this week. The China profile reads like a description of a dystopia.

The report accuses the Chinese government of overseeing some of the most gruesome crimes imaginable. Starvation. Torture. Forced abortions. Rape. Murder. Genocide. Largely focused on the CCP’s abuses in occupied and concentration camp-filled East Turkistan, the profile paints a scathing picture of the country vying to overtake the United States as the world’s strongest superpower.

The complete crime list features dozens of offenses the State Department explicitly described as “genocide and crimes against humanity.” Reported torture mechanisms include electric shock, hanging by the wrists, force-feeding, forced medications, and other forms of abuse.

China expressed “strong dissatisfaction” with the report. Read more.

Newsom Embraces Redistricting, Polling Shows Overwhelming Public Opposition

Gavin Newsom may be America’s most enthusiastic gerrymanderer.

The California governor is moving forward with a proposal for new congressional maps that would eliminate nearly half of the Golden State’s Republican districts. He is painting the move as a response to Republican redistricting efforts he says prove Donald Trump “is trying to light a torch on democracy.” His rhetoric ignores the fact that both parties have engaged in the practice for decades. Barack Obama’s former chief of staff admitted it this morning.

The public is seeing through Newsom’s act. According to a new poll, the overwhelming majority of Californians support the state’s current district-creating system, with barely over a third of respondents believing state lawmakers should have the power to do what Newsom seeks.

“FAKE POLL written by LOSERS!” the governor’s office said in response to the inconvenient data. Read more.

Here’s Trump’s Game Plan for Today’s Putin Meeting

Donald Trump’s highly anticipated meeting with Vladimir Putin is only a few hours away.

The president spoke about the summit’s objective on Thursday, saying he hopes it will lay the groundwork for a second, “extremely important” in-person dialogue and teasing his plan to proceed with caution and keep his aims close to the vest.

"It’s like a chess game," Trump told Brian Kilmeade during an interview. "This meeting sets up the second meeting, but there is a 25% chance that this meeting will not be a successful meeting."

Trump went on to confirm his plan to implement new sanctions against Russia if Putin rejects future peace talks, reiterating his promise that “there will be very severe consequences” if the Russian president refuses to act in good faith. Putin, for his part, praised Trump for making “quite energetic and sincere efforts to stop the hostilities.”

We continue to wonder what any of this has to do with the United States. That said, given bipartisan Washington is clearly hellbent on involving itself, we hope the administration can broker a lasting peace. It is long overdue. Read more.

Putin Hints at Possible Nuclear Deal

The world could be a completely different place by the time you receive our next newsletter. The Trump-Putin summit will be in the books, and their two countries’ relationship might already be vastly changed.

The Russian president hinted at a possible outcome of the meeting on Thursday, floating a new nuclear deal between the two heavily armed nations. He set today’s core objective as creating “long-term conditions for peace between our countries, as well as in Europe, and in the world as a whole,” which could happen if “we reach agreements in the area of control over strategic offensive weapons.” Past U.S.-Russia strategic weapons treaties have covered nuclear weapons or nuclear-capable missile systems. Israel Launches Settlement Plan to “Bury” Palestinian Statehood

Israel’s finance minister promoted plans to build over 3,000 settler homes in the occupied West Bank on Thursday, enthusiastically saying the project will thwart the idea of a Palestinian state "because there is nothing to recognise and no one to recognise.” The move would effectively cut off the West Bank from East Jerusalem.

"This is Zionism at its best,” he gloated. “Building, settling, and strengthening our sovereignty in the land of Israel."

The problem, of course, is that the West Bank is not a part of Israel. A quick look at a map makes that clear. The Israeli government is seeking to expand its territory in the name of the “Greater Israel” project. As the country’s primary financial backers, American taxpayers deserve to know that that is the true goal of this entire ordeal. It’s interesting how the media never mentions it. Read more.

“F**k That”: Hunter Biden Refuses to Apologize to Melania over Epstein Claim

Hunter Biden doesn’t give a f**k about Melania Trump’s threats.

The Ukrainian gas expert and accomplished artist refused to retract his statement linking the first lady to Jeffrey Epstein on Thursday, telling his interviewer that an apology is “not going to happen.”

“F**k that,” the experienced crack-cocaine enthusiast plainly stated.

The comment came over Mrs. Trump’s threat to file “legal action for over $1 Billion in damages” against Biden for “false, defamatory, disparaging, and inflammatory statements” claiming Epstein originally introduced her to her husband.

You’d think someone like Hunter, who earlier this year received the ultimate get-out-of-jail-free card from his father, would count his blessings and do everything possible to stay out of legal trouble. But he can’t help himself. This is the behavior of someone whose behavior has never really had consequences. He sees everything as a joke. Read more.

Alex Jones to Sell Infowars Assets to Pay Sandy Hook Debts

Alex Jones owes the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting victims’ families nearly $1.3 billion. A Texas court ruled Wednesday that he must sell his Infowars assets to help pay the debt.

The order has the potential to shut Jones out of his studio in the coming days, forcing the storied news host to fork over the company’s property, recording equipment, and brand name. Jones is already blasting the order and says he has another studio ready to go if his show is shut down.

“People want to hear this show,” the journalist said during Thursday’s program. “I will continue on with the network. They can harass me forever… they won’t get me off the air.” Read more.

South Carolina Governor Candidate Arrested in His Underwear

Married father of four William McLeod entered South Carolina’s gubernatorial race on Monday. His campaign is off to an egregious start.

May footage of police arresting a nearly naked McLeod emerged on Wednesday, showing the Democrat candidate rambling and hurling threats toward law enforcement while swearing, using the n-word, and referring to himself as both God and Superman. Police say the 53-year-old was “yelling at the top of his lungs” before the arrest and demonstrating behavior “typical of an individual under the influence of a stimulant narcotic.”

“I’m gonna kick your f**king teeth in,” McLeod said during the incident. The threat was aimed at Republican candidate Alan Wilson, who announced his bid for governor earlier this summer. He also refused to exit the vehicle upon arriving at the police station, instead telling his presiding officer that he would sleep in the back seat.

One more McLeod quote from the video for good measure: “I’m one of the most just humans to ever walk this soil.”

The Inversion of Reality

What’s more important? The truth, or hating Donald Trump?

If this week’s DC crime debate has taught us anything, it’s that Democrats are far more committed to the latter. Opposing the president is their truth, regardless of whether facts or reason support their hysteria.

A months-old Washington Post poll reemerged on Thursday. It shows what we mean.

The May survey found that an astronomical 91% of the District’s residents believe the city’s crime problem is “moderately serious” (41%) or “extremely/very serious” (50%). Only 7% said it was “not too” or “not at all serious,” and we’d bet most of them live near Georgetown or the Chevy Chase Club. A deeper dive supports that hunch.

“There are stark divides along lines of race and income in the poll, with Black residents and lower-income residents significantly more worried about crime than White residents and those with higher incomes,” the Post reported at the time. “As they were last year, Black women are among the most concerned, with 65 percent saying crime is a very or extremely serious issue…”

Got that? Black Americans, the people liberals purport to champion and insist Donald Trump hates, have the most to gain from the president’s attempt to safen Washington’s streets. They’re the ones most concerned by the issue.

Trump’s initiative to address the problem put the left in an interesting conundrum. If they backed his efforts, they’d abandon their hair-on-fire suburban base that shrieks their lungs out any time the president does so much as lift a finger. If they didn’t, they’d expose themselves for not actually caring about black people and only viewing them as partisan pawns.

So which did they choose? You know the answer. Nothing is more important than repudiating the Orange Man, so they’re demanding their supporters ignore their lying eyes instead of endorsing the push to get America’s capital city under control. They’re denying that crime is a problem in the first place.

Remember what outlet produced that May poll we just mentioned? It wasn’t a conservative site like Breitbart or the Daily Caller. It was The Washington Post. Fast forward to today, however, and the Post is singing a different tune. The mainstream paper published a lengthy piece earlier this week pushing the message that everything is fine in DC. This comes mere months after they published a poll revealing how deeply unnerved the city’s residents are about the region’s crime. It’s a complete inversion of reality, and they’re not the only ones doing it.

Congressman Eric Swalwell released a video on Thursday suggesting there are “no real criminals” in Washington except people working in the Trump administration. Chuck Schumer is projecting a similar message, insisting the city feels “perfectly safe” and that Republicans concerned about its safety are “full of it.” Has he checked the homicide rate lately? It’s six times higher than New York’s. The situation is so bad that Senator Markwayne Mullin, a former MMA fighter, doesn’t wear seatbelts while driving through DC because he doesn’t want to get stuck in the event of a carjacking.

Then there’s MSNBC host Symone Sanders-Townsend. She’s claiming that discussion of violent crime is “propaganda” even though her own husband has gone on record about things being so out of control that businesses are fleeing the community.

It’s clear what’s driving this. Trump says crime is bad, so Democrats automatically take the opposing position. It doesn’t matter if their stance runs contrary to realities that they themselves once admitted. Nothing is more important than repudiating the Orange Man.

This Day in History

August 15, 2021: Kabul falls to the Taliban. The U.S.-backed Afghan government collapsed amid America’s long-overdue withdrawal from the country, allowing Taliban leaders to reestablish control after two decades of occupation. Western intelligence thought Kabul could capitulate within six to 12 months, meaning the immediate collapse stunned Washington’s “experts” and left the Biden administration flailing in response. The development humiliated the U.S. foreign policy establishment, exposing them for wasting 20 years, fortunes of taxpayer dollars, and tens of thousands of lives while accomplishing nothing substantive in the region. America left Afghanistan in the same position it found it: under Taliban control.
